A shed's got to earn its spot in the garden, whether that's tools, bikes, or a proper little workshop, so it's worth comparing size and material before you commit to one.
Wood or Metal
Wooden sheds still win on looks and insulation, but they need treating every year or the timber will start to go. Metal ones cost less to start with and there's no maintenance, but they can get condensation inside and aren't as forgiving if your base isn't dead level.
Size and Roof
Think about what's actually going in there before picking a size. Bikes and tools, 6x4ft usually does it. A workshop or a ride-on mower, you'll want 8x6ft at least, plus room to actually move around.
Roof shape affects headroom and how well it sheds rain, an apex (pointed) roof gives more headroom and copes with rain better than a pent (single-slope) roof, though pent suits a shed built against a fence better.
Whatever you go for, budget for a proper base too. Most warranties don't hold up if it's not on something level and solid, and a good shed on a bad base won't last as long as a cheap one on a good base.
